Grilled Tuna Steaks

One of the benefits of living so close to the water is that you always have an abundance of fresh fish. Our favorite Fish Monger here in Ocean Pines is Crabs To Go! They always have a nice selection and it is always fresh. Today they had the most beautiful Tuna Steaks! Grilled Tuna Steaks are easy to make and you probably have the ingredients on hand. Don’t overcook them. (They should be raw inside like Sushi.)

Grilled Tuna Steaks

4 Tuna Steaks cut 1 to 1 ½ inch thick.

3 Tablespoons Olive Oil

2 Tablespoons Parsley Flakes

1 Tablespoon Salt

1 tablespoon Cracked Pepper

Brush each Tuna Steak with olive oil. On a small plate, mix the Parsley Flakes, Salt and Pepper. Encrust the short sides of the Tuna Steaks with the Seasoning mixture by rolling the steak through it. Grill the Tuna Steaks in a preheated hot grill. Grill for 2 minutes and then turn and grill the other side for 2 minutes. (This is for a rare center - if you like your Tuna done a bit more you can add ½ minute to each side). Remove from the heat and let the Steaks rest for 5 to 10 minutes.

Enjoy!
